Reader Not so Good Morning for me today.... I was at the doctor’s office with my baby. She had a weird cough that wouldn’t go away. I didn’t care where the doctor went to med school… All I wanted to know was: “Can you help my child feel better?” That’s it. Oh...NO... This is exactly what most coaches and creators get wrong. They treat their bio like a memoir. “I was lost… then I found my purpose… here’s my whole life story.” Meanwhile, the people reading it are silently screaming: “Cool, but can you help me?” The Greek philosopher Epictetus once said, “Don’t explain your philosophy. Embody it.” Which means : Don’t try to be impressive. Be useful. We’re in the age of performance. Everyone wants to appear credible instead of just being helpful. They flex trauma like trophies and stack credentials like it’s LinkedIn. But here’s the paradox: The more you say about yourself, the more distance you create. Because in the back of every reader’s mind, one question loops: “Can you help me?” Not: “How spiritual is your journey?” Nah. They want: Relief. Not an essay. If you’re in the business of helping people—ditch the monologue. Say this instead: “I help [specific people] solve [specific problem].” Let your content be the proof. Because if you really matter to their journey… They’ll scroll. That’s when your story matters, when they invite it in. Until then? Solve the cough. Not the autobiography. – Suraj "Feels Better" Mhetri P.S.
